Liquid Cooling Direct Chip Liquid Cooling Central to this technology are cold plates placed directly on top of key heat sources, like server processors, to ensure fast and efficient heat transfer. A network of small tubes delivers liquid coolant to these areas, absorbs the heat, and carries it away. The heated liquid then flows through Coolant Distribution Units to a re-cooler, where the heat is released, completing the cycle. Technology Cooling System (TCS) Facility Water System (FWS) While Liquid Cooling serves as the foundation of the system, a complementary air-cooling component remains essential. Approximately 20 – 30 % of the cooling requirement is fulfilled through air-cooling mechanisms, ensuring comprehensive thermal management. CyberCool CMU is a coolant distribution unit, central component in both solutions. This unit completely isolates the facility water system (FWS) and technology cooling system (TCS) sides and controls the supply temperature and flow rate of the coolant. Unique air conduction With an air exit on the side, the pattern of the cooling air from the CyberRow units follows the shape of the server racks, so that there is no air turbulence. The cold air takes a direct route in front of the server racks and is not distrib- uted around the room. This means a physical containment can be dispensed with in favor of “virtual containement”. In this way, the CyberRow can supply cold air to as many as 6 server racks, depending on the unit size and server heat load. Autonomous CW Cooling Supplementing Precision AC Increasing Capacity Active Rear Door Cooling (ARDC) The Active Rear Door Cooling is a heat exchanger door with EC fans for installing on the rear door of server racks.
